Frequently asked questions
Q: What is the policy if my child is absent and misses a lesson?
A: We only book 5 lessons per half term, so usually there would be an extra week where the teacher could come in and make up missed lessons.
With our company, you never have to pay for lessons missed for any reason - 95 percent of the time we are able to replace missed lessons, but when we can't we discount the next invoice so you are not out of pocket.
Q: Can you explain how it works with the instrument at home? Can we rent it from you or need to purchase it?
It is a very good idea to have an instrument at home to practice on in between lessons - - if you want that, just let us know and we will add a £50.00 deposit payment to the first invoice. You can pick up the keyboard with accessories from school to take home and use for as long as you like.
Q: If at any point over the year we want xxx to move over to a one on one session, is that something that can be done easily?
A: Absolutely. They can move to stage 2 anytime she likes.
Q: Do you accept tax free childcare payments please?
A: Sorry, unfortunately not. Our music lessons providing organization is not eligible for this scheme.
Q: Please could you reply to confirm if my child has a place?
A: You will get the full details, including the invoice on the last week of August, or the first week of September.
Q: Do you know yet during which part of the day the lessons will take place?
A: The lessons will during the school day - the teacher will collect your child when it is time for their lesson
Q: What details do you require?
A: Your phone number and your child’s name/class is all.
Q: Would it be better to do 1-2-1 or 2-2-1?
A: Of course with one to one the pupil gets individual attention from the tutor. - but the 2 to 1 option is half the price as the time is shared. It’s really up to you what you choose - they both work well!
Q: How will my child remember to go to the lesson?
A: The teacher will collect your child from class to have the lesson.
Q: Do we have to bring the keyboard ?
A: We provide the keyboard for the lessons in school - all enrolled pupils will have the option to get a starter keyboard to take home for a deposit of £50.
Q: Are there any music books to buy in advance?
A: No, there is no need to buy music books.
